We expand our Solo Travellers collection

With bookings on Cox & Kings’ Solo Traveller tours up almost 50% compared to 2016, nine new small-group tours have been added for the 2018 collection. The tours enable single travellers to explore spectacular parts of the world in style, with complete peace of mind and in the company of like-minded people. Cox & Kings’ Solo Travellers tours lead in from £1,195 per person for a four-night stay in Marrakech and £1,415 per person for a seven-night tour of Romania, both new for 2018.

The tours have no single supplements and accommodation is based on the single occupancy of twin or double rooms in hotels that offer sensible prices for single travellers. Every tour includes a welcome and farewell dinner. Experienced local tour managers accompany the groups throughout, supported by local guides and drivers. All tours have a maximum group size of 18.

The new tours for 2018 are:

Romanian Explorer: 8 days / 7 nights from £1,415

This tour centres around Transylvania and the surrounding regions. Highlights include visits to royal palaces, fortified churches, monasteries and a bear sanctuary.

Rome & the Amalfi Coast: 8 days / 7 nights from £1,895

The tour combines cultural visits to major historic and archaeological sites in the Italian capital with the natural beauty of the Italian coastline.

Porto & the Douro Valley: 7 days / 6 nights from £2,095

Travelling from Porto to the major historical, religious and intellectual towns of Braga, Guimarães and Coimbra, this new tour also includes a river cruise through the vineyards of the picturesque Douro valley as well as a visit to a traditional quinta estate to sample the wine.

Helsinki & St Petersburg: 7 days / 6 nights from £1,920

Separated by the Gulf of Finland, Helsinki and St Petersburg have much in common. This new twin-centre tour spends three nights in each city and uses the high-speed train to travel between them.

The Best of Exotic South India: 13 days / 11 nights from £2,995

Journey from the vibrant markets of Hyderabad to the tranquil Keralan backwaters visiting Madurai, the Western Ghats, tea plantations and Thrissur along the way.
